Rachel Weinstock - movement & nutrition

As a certified personal trainer, Rachel is one of the trainers you may work with here at Solid Fitness. Her passion for nutrition and movement have been an incredible addition to the studio.
From picky eater to food lover. Rachel grew up afraid to try new foods and lived off fast food in her young adult life. Working in restaurants helped widen her tastes, but nutrition wasn't given much of a thought until she became a mother. In hopes that her kids would be exposed to more foods and not be as picky as she was, she began learning how to make baby foods for her daughter. While she fed her kids well, she didn't treat her body as well and as a result her health started to decline, finding herself in doctors' offices looking for answers.
In her quest for a diagnosis, there was this nagging feeling that food and exercise could make a difference. She'd ask "what about diet and exercise, could that help?" Although the words differed, each doctor assured her the symptoms she was experiencing were far more than diet or exercise could help. It was discouraging and starting to take a toll on her. Eventually, she took a hiatus from the doctor visits and started an at-home workout program that also provided a nutritional shake to jump start a healthier lifestyle.
Within a matter of days her symptoms were gone. From that point forward, Rachel could not deny the incredible power of food and lifestyle for optimal health. One thing you'll hear her say often is "this is about a lifestyle." No fad diets here.
A passion project of Rachel's is helping educate and get kids excited about the magic of food. She offers teaching opportunities for school-aged kiddos that are age-appropriate. In addition, she offers corporate nutritional training to help build a healthier team through food. You can also find her doing cooking demonstrations to show others how to make delicious meals packed full of nutrition!
"It is my honor to help others find their way to a life they look forward to get up for everyday. I want to change the narrative around being healthy; it's not about a size or a number, it is all about feeling good! To feel good, we have to treat our bodies like the amazing gift that it is."
